Clinical Psychologist

South HollandHybrid34 hours/week6-12months

You will work with children and adolescents aged approximately 3 to 18 years with complex developmental issues. Many patients have autism and/or ADHD, often in combination with physical conditions, rare genetic syndromes, and/or intellectual disabilities. Additionally, broader psychiatric and psychosocial problems are regularly observed. Your activities consist of a combination of diagnostics, treatment, and guiding and training colleagues.

You are involved in both individual patient care and the further development of care within the team. You will work within a multidisciplinary team. The combination of academic care, somatics, and psychiatry makes the work challenging and varied.

What you do

  • Perform specialist psychodiagnostics.
  • Conduct indication setting and diagnostic decision-making.
  • Treat and guide children, adolescents, and their parents/caregivers.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary consultations.
  • Supervise master psychologists, remedial educationalists, psychologists in training for clinical psychologist, and interns.
  • Maintain contacts with schools, district teams, referrers, and other collaboration partners.
  • Contribute to innovation, quality development, education, and scientific research.
  • Collaborate with (clinical) psychologists, remedial educationalists, psychotherapists, clinical (neuro)psychologists, resident physicians, and child and adolescent psychiatrists.
  • Have extensive contact with other specialties within an academic medical center and with external care partners.

Profile

You are an enthusiastic and committed clinical psychologist who enjoys collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. You combine clinical expertise with curiosity and enjoy contributing to innovative care and the further development of the field.

  • A completed training as a clinical psychologist.
  • A valid BIG registration as a clinical psychologist.
  • Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry or in another setting with children and adolescents with developmental issues.
  • Experience with complex psychodiagnostics and treatment.
  • Preferably experience with complex or multiple issues, such as genetic syndromes, intellectual disability, or somatic conditions.
  • Experience with and certification for ADOS-2 is a plus.
  • Interest in training, scientific research, and innovation.
