The organization has five departments, four for primary processes and one for operational management. As a business controller, you will primarily collaborate with employees in operational management. The Operational Management department supports the entire organization in HR, finance, communication, information provision, facilities, and organizational development. From this department, we ensure that our specialized colleagues can perform their work optimally.
What you will do.
- Finalize the annual accounts in collaboration with the director and the management team in a political-administrative environment
- Advise on and develop financial and business economic policy at administrative and organizational levels
- Be responsible for a balanced financial administration (from January 1, 2027, AFAS will be used)
- Coordinate activities within the financial administration
- Help the management team achieve realistic forecasts through critical questions and a review framework
- Provide direction for a new organizational structure during periods of growth
- Be responsible for the correct and timely execution of financial administration, budget preparation, semi-annual financial figures, and annual accounts
- Advise on financial and business economic issues at administrative and organizational levels
- Be co-responsible for financial and business economic policy, the planning and control cycle, and strategy from a broad controlling perspective
- Provide solicited and unsolicited advice on financial strategy, risks, business cases, and the optimization of operational management
- Timely identify financial risks and advise on control measures
- Prepare analyses and reports, seek support for change, and present analyses and conclusions

- Demonstrable completed economic education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level
