Area Development Project Manager
Are you someone who enjoys leading diverse spatial projects that align with tomorrow's challenges at a large government organization? Building the region and leading development tasks and projects requires drive, results-orientation, connecting leadership, and vision. We are looking for a Project Manager to help shape developments in a specific area together with the involved developers. It is possible that the candidate will also be deployed on other area development projects.
This request arose due to an expiring contract.
This area is a location where living and working are combined. A Master Plan for the area has been established, transforming it from a business park into a mixed residential and commercial area. The objective is to realize approximately 2,000 homes, half of which are in the affordable segment, striving for a safe, attractive, and healthy physical living environment.
What you do
- Project and program-based realization of infrastructure and housing, in combination with urban functions such as businesses and social facilities
- The focus of the role is particularly on the design of public spaces and roads within the development area
- Shaping developments in the area together with the involved developers
- Directing input and contributions from external parties and various internal teams
- Directing the preparation, execution, and process control within your projects
- Monitoring progress
- Coordinating the work of your project team members
- Guiding planning processes, such as environmental plan processes
- Writing project documents such as project contracts, phase documents, and proposals for decision-making

- You professionally lead projects
- You direct the input and contributions from external parties and various internal teams
- You direct the preparation, execution, and process control within your projects
- You monitor progress and coordinate the work of your project team members
- You are a strong negotiator who achieves concrete results through connection
- You are an expert in guiding planning processes, such as environmental plan processes
- You write clear project documents such as project contracts, phase documents, and proposals for decision-making
- You work closely with other project managers
- Political-administrative sensitivity is expected
- You have a good eye for public support and anticipate various influences on the project in a timely manner
- You have experience with participation processes
- You are well in control of business operations
- You know how to create administrative, political, and social support through expertise, charisma, dynamism
- You act with integrity and adhere to correct manners (willing to sign an integrity declaration in accordance with the organization's code of conduct)
What they ask
- A full university degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or Civil Engineering
- At least 5 years of work experience as a Project Manager in large-scale area development for the development of infrastructure, housing, social facilities, and/or businesses
Preferences.
- Work experience as a Project Manager in large-scale area development at a government organization
- Completed education(s) in project management in combination with infrastructure
- Work experience in participation processes with residents, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders
