An environmental agency is looking for a driven initiator/project leader to strengthen their team.
- You will be the linchpin between colleagues, municipalities, provinces, contractors, residents, and other stakeholders.
- The organization works on permitting, supervision, and enforcement in the fields of soil, construction, and environment, with an impact on sustainability, energy saving, air quality, and safety.
- You will contribute to the transition process from coal to hydrogen at a large industrial company.
What you do
- Process building permit applications and assess the structural safety of projects.
- Grant building permits.
- Work on diverse projects, from small constructions to large, complex infrastructural projects.
- Play an important role in knowledge sharing and development within the team and guide juniors.
- Conduct supervision of various construction projects and assess fire and environmental safety, accessibility, and liveability.
- Be responsible for the development and improvement of supervision and enforcement processes.
- Find a good balance between the interests of contractors, municipalities, and residents, and provide constructive solutions.
- Observe and listen to stakeholders and take initiative in complex dossiers.
Profile
- As an experienced Building Inspector, you take a directing role in supervision and enforcement within construction.
- You bring environmental awareness and political sensitivity.
- You have a passion for the profession and extensive experience.
- You want to lead projects and look beyond just the construction process.
- You understand the administrative context and work on the sustainable development of the region.
What they ask
- A completed HBO or university degree in civil engineering.
- Extensive work experience as a Supervisor or Building Inspector.
- Arrange your own laptop and phone.
Preferences.
- Knowledge of current developments in construction, including legislation such as the Environmental Act (Omgevingswet) and innovative techniques, such as circular construction.
- Strong digital skills and the ability to maintain an overview.
