An organization specializing in wireless telecommunications for network operators is developing a new telecom network based on advanced technology. This network must meet high demands in terms of safety, reliability, and availability, essential for providing services to parties with vital infrastructures. The organization is a joint subsidiary of two major energy companies, founded in 2014, and is working on the energy system of the future.
For the realization of this business-critical network, a Test Engineer is sought, focusing on IT systems and integrations within the service delivery. You will be responsible for test readiness, test execution, and release support for the end-to-end service, contributing to quality and reliability by validating the operation of IT systems and integrations, coordinating defects, and monitoring test and release readiness.
You will work within a multidisciplinary program that includes telecom networks, IT systems, SIM/eSIM platforms, devices, provisioning, monitoring, security, and operational processes.
What you will do.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, suppliers, operations, security
- Analyze requirements, architecture, interfaces, and technical designs
- Prepare and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test data
- Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) including interfaces, processes, and non-functional tests
- Support FAT, UAT, and end-to-end testing
- Support performance and load testing
- Register, analyze, and follow up on defects
- Perform regression testing
- Automate suitable API and system tests
- Collect test evidence for quality gates and acceptance
What they ask
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Test Engineer, Technical Tester, Integration Tester, or similar role
- Experience with FAT, SIT, UAT, and end-to-end testing in a telecom environment
- Experience with testing IT components and integrations such as NTP, DNS, SMTP, SFTP, firewalls
- Experience with provisioning and activation processes
- Experience with system and integration testing
- Experience with requirements-based and risk-based testing
- Good knowledge of API testing (REST, JSON, XML, and preferably SOAP)
- Experience with security testing
- Experience with SQL and database validation
- Knowledge of middleware, orchestration, and backend platforms
- Experience with log analysis and monitoring
- Experience with defect management
- Good command of Dutch and English
- Experience with specific OSS systems is a plus
