Domain Architect Workplace and Cloud
For a client in the Netherlands, an experienced Domain Architect Workplace / Cloud Architect Workplace & Back-up is sought. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, policy, and guidelines surrounding the workplace within the Cloud, based on Microsoft 365, Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop, supplemented by the backup environment based on Commvault Cloud.
You will work independently and be given significant responsibility within an IT governance organization that is undergoing significant change, partly due to renewed outsourcing and a broad transition to the Cloud.
What you will do.
- Establish and maintain the workplace design, including associated governance and policy frameworks.
- Align functional requirements with surrounding frameworks and internal stakeholders such as user reference groups and the I-column.
- Review, audit, and test designs and technical architecture delivered by suppliers against established frameworks and guidelines.
- Provide technical and policy frameworks that the organization and suppliers must adhere to, including compliance with BIO and NIS2 guidelines.
- Develop and keep technical architecture frameworks up-to-date in collaboration with Cloud architects, suppliers, and Landscape Owners.
- Establish an architecture roadmap and guide its implementation.
- Monitor and stimulate working under architecture, with an emphasis on Workplace and Cloud architecture.
- Support information advisors and infrastructure advisors in evaluating supplier proposals.
- Participate in architecture consultations, including the Design Authority and Architecture Board.
- Assess new or changed laws and regulations and translate them into technical architecture frameworks.
- Promote the target architecture within the organization.
Profile
- Minimum 5 years of work experience with a government organization in the past 7 years.
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience as a Workplace Architect in the field of governance, design, and policy in the past 5 years.
- Minimum 5 years of recent experience (after 2018) with interpreting and applying IT trends such as Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure, backup, and SaaS/PaaS/IaaS solutions.
- Knowledge of M365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Conditional Access, Azure AD, Intune, and Sentinel (MS500, MS100/101).
- Knowledge of security frameworks, including BIO and NIS2.
- Knowledge of architecture processes such as TOGAF or DYA and experience with Archimate is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of Commvault, preferably the SaaS solution, is a strong plus.
- HBO education in ICT, Informatics, or Business Information Management, or demonstrably comparable work level.
