An organization is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support the implementation of Microsoft Fabric and help establish a strong foundation for future data operations. This is a hands-on consulting opportunity for someone who can lead the technical implementation, build scalable data solutions, and coach an internal team through knowledge transfer, workshops, and practical guidance.
What you do
- Support the end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Fabric, from initial setup through to production-ready delivery.
- Design and implement a Medallion Architecture within Fabric, aligned with industry best practices.
- Build reliable and scalable data pipelines using Python notebooks and Fabric data engineering tools.
- Integrate Power BI DevOps practices into the data development workflow.
- Deliver coaching, workshops, and structured knowledge transfer sessions to strengthen the internal data team.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and help ensure a smooth transition to long-term ownership.
What they ask
- Proven experience implementing Microsoft Fabric in production environments.
- Strong background in Medallion Architecture, data pipelines, and Fabric-based data solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of data and services architecture and data architecture.
- Experience with data lake environments, data transfer, and data visualization.
- Hands-on proficiency in Python, notebooks, and modern data engineering workflows.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft BI and Power BI.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools in a data context.
- This role requires a high level of practical experience with Microsoft Fabric.

- Experienced data engineer with a strong track record in ETL/ELT environments.
- Hands-on problem solver who can contribute directly to implementation, not only to design or architecture.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and support technical upskilling.
- Collaborative team player who can take initiative and work effectively with others.
- Comfortable guiding stakeholders and embedding best practices within an internal team.
Practical
- Language requirements: Dutch or French, plus English.
