You will work at the intersection of infrastructure, communication, and the environment. As an Operational Environmental Manager, you will contribute to the expansion and reinforcement of the electricity grid in various neighborhoods. You will ensure that residents, entrepreneurs, municipalities, and other stakeholders are informed about the work and what they can expect. You will proactively address signals and problems.
A large part of your work will take place in the neighborhood, with residents, municipalities, and during execution.
What you will do.
- Inform residents, entrepreneurs, homeowner associations, schools, and other stakeholders.
- Provide resident letters, project updates, and communication via, among other things, a construction app.
- Be present in the neighborhood as a point of contact.
- Actively follow up on questions, complaints, and signals.
- Simultaneously guide multiple neighborhoods and project locations.
- Coordinate with execution, work preparation, and project management regarding planning, accessibility, and nuisance.
- Liaise with municipalities and other stakeholders.
- Monitor permits, agreements, and environmental actions.
- Identify bottlenecks early and organize practical solutions.
- Bring signals from the environment back to the project team.
Profile
- HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in underground infrastructure.
- Relevant experience in environmental management, environmental communication, or a comparable role.
- Experience with projects in a residential, urban, or infrastructural environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- A proactive and practical way of working.
- The ability to maintain an overview of multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Sufficient assertiveness to remain calm and clear even in the face of resistance.
- Good command of the Dutch language.
- Driving license B.
Preferences.
- Experience with projects in energy, infrastructure, or public space.
- Experience with work for network operators or municipalities.
- Experience with resident communication in residential areas.
- Experience with accessibility, liveability, and safety during execution.
- Experience with stakeholder management.
- Experience with permits and environmental agreements.
- Experience with communication tools such as a construction app.
