As an Offshore Electrical Project Engineer, you will contribute to the engineering of offshore wind projects. You will coordinate the electrical design, manage designers and external engineering partners, and monitor the technical quality of the project. You will also be an important technical point of contact for the client. You will evaluate designs, contribute to optimization ideas, and translate technical questions into feasible and high-quality solutions.
This is a technical and coordinating role where electrical engineering, project follow-up, and collaboration with various engineering disciplines come together.
What you will do.
- You coordinate electrical engineering and distribute drawing work within the project team
- You manage designers and external engineering partners and monitor quality, planning
- You evaluate the client's basic design and translate it into technically feasible solutions
- You advise clients on material choices, technical solutions, and possible optimizations
- You prepare and meticulously follow up on drawing lists, drawing schedules, and technical project files
- You monitor the interfaces between electrical and structural engineering and ensure good coordination between both disciplines
- You check designs for technical feasibility, contractual requirements, standards, and safety regulations
What they ask
- You have a bachelor's or master's degree in Electricity, Electromechanics, Energy Technology, or a comparable technical field
- You have experience in electrical engineering, preferably in an industrial, maritime, or offshore environment
- You can critically evaluate and optimize electrical designs and technical drawings
- You are highly organized and maintain an overview of various technical deliverables and deadlines
- You communicate smoothly with clients and colleagues and dare to provide technical advice
- You are fluent in Dutch and English
