Information Architect

The ICT governance of a public educational institution is divided into various domains. Recently, a new domain was created, focusing on the management and disclosure of collections and scientific information resources. This includes ICT for extensive collections of old and new literature, digital and physical, and heritage collections. The landscape consists of approximately 45 applications. One of the first steps is to inventory and document this landscape using BlueDolphin.

In collaboration with a process analyst, the current situation must be modeled, including end-to-end, business, and work processes, linked to applications. Subsequently, challenges will be inventoried, and architectural advice will be developed for the most urgent issues.

What you will do.

• Develop a plan for the execution, realization, and communication of the assignment.
• Work intensively with a process analyst, enterprise or domain architects, policy officers, and library specialists.
• Conduct interviews with stakeholders and organize workshops to gather information, for example, on integrations and interfaces.
• Share knowledge about the usefulness and necessity of information architecture.
• Report to the head of the Digital Infrastructure department.

What they ask

• Completed HBO or WO education (higher professional education or university education).
• Minimum of three years of demonstrable experience as an information architect.
• Knowledge of information architecture, architectural models, frameworks, and tools such as TOGAF and ArchiMate.
• Fluent command of Dutch, both written and spoken.

Preferences.

• Preferably knowledge of the HORA and/or DERA reference models.
• Familiarity with heritage or library organizations.
• User experience with BlueDolphin.
