As a nurse, you will be assigned to a cardiology department that includes a mixed hospitalization and telemetry unit.
- You will focus on the acute and chronic care pathways of cardiology patients.
- You will work under the supervision of the (substitute) head nurse and perform their duties if necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
What you do
- Prepare patients for their examinations, arrange transport to and from the relevant departments, and perform aftercare based on standing orders and procedures.
- Provide individual, comprehensive, and planned care, considering the physical and psychosocial needs of each patient.
- Take responsibility for the continuity of care through oral discussions and written documentation of nursing activities in the nursing file or nursing transfer note.
- Contribute to quality care and proactively participate in improving nursing services.
- Perform administrative, technical, and household tasks, including collaborating on tasks imposed by the institution or government (e.g., registration of minimal nursing data, guiding interns, acting as a reference nurse).
Profile
- Diploma and visa as a bachelor or HBO5 (graduate) in nursing.
- Initial (internship) experience in cardiology is an asset, not a requirement.
- You recognize the patient's care needs and expertly, flexibly, and creatively plan, coordinate, provide, and evaluate care.
- Strong communication skills, both with patients and their families and with colleagues.
- You advocate for interests and discuss matters assertively and professionally.
- You thrive in a multidisciplinary team, adopt a collegial, honest, and objective attitude, and strictly adhere to professional secrecy.
- You assist patients with advice and action, inform them, and can reassure them with your presence.
- You are open to feedback, willing to continuously learn, and committed to ongoing professional development.
