Solution Architect
A provincial government organization is looking for an experienced Implementation Manager Migration Factory to take over the existing management of the migration factory and, together with the migration coordinator, realize its further setup and professionalization. The migration factory handles the controlled migration of documents and information to Microsoft 365 and CALS (OpenText/DMS/RMA).
The assignment focuses on integral management of planning, migration waves, capacity, quality, dependencies, decision-making, and risks. The Implementation Manager connects the technical migration execution with business implementation, information management, architecture, release management, and the management organization. Technical migration specialists remain responsible for the actual technical work.
A separate and essential result is the further development of the migration factory into a suitable, Agile/SAFe-oriented control. This includes clear role and decision structures, multidisciplinary collaboration, migration backlogs, prioritization, capacity planning, (pre-)PI Planning where appropriate, dependency management, and cyclical improvement. The Implementation Manager also organizes a working release process and concrete agreements on management readiness, acceptance, and operational handover.
The assignment is carried out in close collaboration with the migration coordinator, project/program management, migration specialists, information management, architecture, management organization, suppliers, product owners, and the involved domains. This involves an extensive change program with a significant ICT component, affecting all employees, managers, and administrators of the organization. The program has three main focus areas: Sustainable Accessibility, I-governance & I-control, and Data-Driven Work.
The architecture focuses on several interconnected components:
- The digital work environment: Microsoft 365 forms the platform for digital collaboration.
- Document and information management: the DMS/RMA for the central archive and legacy system plays a central role.
- Integration and data exchange: the integration architecture guides how applications exchange information.
- Process management and central search: the process catalog helps to uniformly record processes.
- Integrated data platform and data catalog: both elements together form a unit that creates the basis for data-driven work.
