Policy Advisor Income and Minimum Policy

A regional social service is looking for a policy advisor. This organization provides a safety net for residents who are temporarily unable to or insufficiently provide for their income and guides them towards paid work or other daytime activities. Success depends on the results achieved in client outflow, limiting inflow, and the quality of guidance provided to existing clients. You will be part of a small Policy team within the Advice & Support department, consisting of 4 advisors with different expertise.

What you will do.

• Monitor and translate national laws and regulations into local policy measures, with a focus on income provisions from the Participation Act, initiatives in minimum policy, the Displaced Persons Reception Scheme, and childcare.
• Provide insights to the management team, the (daily) board, and the collaborating municipalities through proposals, memos, and data analysis.
• Connect people and processes and maintain a network inside and outside the organization.
• Translate policy into practice and stay in contact with executive colleagues regarding policy development and evaluation.
• Collaborate with officials from the collaborating municipalities to find the best solutions and conduct regular consultations.

What they ask

• Demonstrable education at a minimum of HBO (higher professional education) level.
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable work experience as a policy advisor on the theme of Work and Income.

Preferences.

• Demonstrable work experience with writing and amending ordinances, policy rules, and implementation policy in the field of Work and Income.
• Demonstrable work experience with minimum policy, special assistance, and related regulations.
• Demonstrable work experience with writing policy documents.
• Demonstrable work experience with connecting policy and implementation and collaborating with various stakeholders (e.g., board, executive, client council, and municipalities).
