Additionally, it handles reports, complaints, and requests from residents regarding public spaces. A part of the team focuses on realizing projects for maintenance, replacement, and new construction.
What you do
Several infrastructure projects are planned for preparation and execution, focusing on renovation and reconstruction projects for sewerage and roads. As a project leader, you are responsible for both the preparation of projects and the supervision of their execution. You will not work alone but in collaboration with other colleagues from the team, communication, permit issuance, and external parties. The assignment includes:
- Translating requirements and preconditions into design
- Communication and participation with the environment and other stakeholders
- Tendering projects
- Project management during execution
- Supervision activities

- Organizational capacity: the candidate manages multiple parallel civil activities, from procurement and preparation to supervision and recovery period.
- Decisiveness: within a compact municipal organization, the project leader must make decisions independently, without extensive hierarchical feedback.

- Minimum 5 years of demonstrable work experience as a civil engineering project leader.
- Minimum 4 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 8 years in civil engineering at a government organization.
- Demonstrable work experience with guiding civil projects from design to delivery, illustrated with examples.
Preferences.
- Demonstrably completed education in Civil Engineering at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
- Demonstrable work experience with budget management and substantive accountability for civil engineering projects.
- Demonstrable work experience in communication and collaboration with external water managers.
- Demonstrable work experience with civil engineering structures, culverts, pipelines, waterways, or sewage pumping stations, illustrated with examples.
- Demonstrable work experience with the preparation of civil projects, including design, specification, and tendering processes.
