At the Advice & Reporting Point (A&M), the 'front door' of a specialized organization, you are the first point of contact for incoming reports. These reports come in by phone, email, or chat. You advise and support help-seekers, bystanders, or professionals dealing with domestic violence or child abuse.
What you will do.
- First contact with an advice seeker or reporter
- Informing the reporter about the working methods and possibilities of the organization
- Providing information and clarification as needed
- Giving advice or (participatory) consultation to the reporter or accepting the report
- Investigating situations, gathering information, and assessing safety, threats, protective factors, abuse, and criminogenic factors
- Determining the urgency of a report
- If necessary, accepting the report and acting in accordance with the guidelines of the Reporting Code for domestic violence and child abuse and the Action Protocol of the organization
Profile
- Keep a cool head and act decisively and problem-solving
- Perform well under pressure and accept reports and advice requests according to guidelines
- Proficient in communication, also in writing
- Good listener, naturally curious, and daring to ask probing questions
- See connections, combine, analyze, contextualize, and evaluate information
- Be accurate and precise, and register everything correctly in the system
- Collaboration and coordination with colleagues and partners is self-evident
- Flexible and willing to participate in on-call duty outside office hours
What they ask
- Completed, relevant HBO education (e.g., Social Work, Nursing) or a background in Psychology
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with domestic violence and/or child abuse
- An SKJ or BIG registration or meet the requirements to register
