This unique heritage location is a replica of an 18th-century tow barge and a unique piece of sailing heritage. The ship has a permanent mooring in a historic city center and forms a special location for cruises, corporate and private events, cultural activities, and public manifestations. It was built as part of a social employment project and is currently operated by a non-profit organization.
In the coming years, we want to further expand our commercial activities, strengthen our social and cultural role, and put the location even more prominently on the map. Therefore, we are looking for an entrepreneurial Commercial Manager / General Director to further grow our organization.
What you will do.
- You are the daily face of the heritage location and combine commercial development with the daily management of the organization.
- Your main task is to attract new customers, expand commercial activities, and increase the occupancy rate of the ship.
- In addition, you ensure the smooth daily operation of the non-profit organization and work closely with the Board of Directors, skippers, volunteers, and external partners.
- You also develop initiatives on board, such as performances, table d'hôte, and other cultural activities.
Profile
- You are entrepreneurial, enjoy taking responsibility, and see new opportunities.
- Commercial experience, preferably in the event, tourism, or hospitality sector.
- Experience with marketing, communication, and social media.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- An independent and proactive work attitude.
