You guide young people aged 13 to 18 in their personal development, independence, and undertaking of activities within a reception center. The young people receive 24/7 guidance to prepare them for independent living.
What you do
- Guide young people in their personal development and independence
- Organize group activities such as cooking, sports, or creative pursuits
- Act as a shadow mentor for complex cases
- Conduct methodical discussions with young people
- Perform room checks and provide information
- Work in morning, afternoon, and night shifts
- Participate in consultations and intervision meetings
What they ask
- Minimum of a completed MBO level 4 education in an agogic field (e.g., Social Work, Personal care assistant social care, Specific target group supervisor, or Pedagogical employee)
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of methodical guidance and intercultural communication
- Empathy without losing professional distance
- Clear in setting boundaries
- Strong personality, social, collegial
- Availability for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts (night shifts are always waking shifts)
Practical
- You always work with at least one other colleague
- A team consists of an average of 15 to 40 employees, including youth workers, residential counselors, and behavioral experts
- A pre-employment screening is part of the procedure, including a Certificate of Conduct (VOG), diploma, and identity check
