We are looking for a photography teacher to explore new possibilities within the photography offerings of an art center. The program can be structured thematically or by discipline, with an emphasis on guiding beginners through the basics of photography. The collaboration involves two course periods of 8 weeks, consisting of an introductory course and an advanced course. After the first period, an evaluation will determine continuation.
The second period offers room for innovation, for example by focusing on a specific photography discipline.
What you do
- Teach the intricacies of the camera in an enjoyable way to students.
- Inspire both complete beginners and experienced amateur photographers.
- Contribute to the Media and Visual Arts discipline, including related fields such as film, digital media, or post-processing.
- Work with the department towards an annual exhibition around the May holidays.
- Help students discover the possibilities of photography, from camera technique to creative experiments with light, composition, or portrait photography.
- Offer in-depth exploration in analog photography, post-processing, storytelling, documentary photography, or experimental imagery.
- Ensure students feel challenged, seen, and understood in your lessons.
- Build confidence in beginners and challenge advanced students.
