Within a public organization, an experienced Roads Advisor is sought. You will collaborate with asset managers, designers, policy officers, and various stakeholders to optimally maintain the road network. You support tactical-strategic management in the initiation phase of projects. You develop a solid financial structure using Life Cycle Costing (LCC) to provide financial insight into the total life cycle costs of road constructions and provide data for future management plans.
You manage and develop road data in GeoVisia, optimize data sharing and collaboration between departments, and transform GeoVisia into a functional tool for daily maintenance. You establish a strategic inspection plan and supervise its execution, including market solicitations. You are the first point of contact for road expertise in integrated projects and complex utility tasks, and strategically advise on efficient and affordable long-term management.
You optimize collaboration around cables and pipelines (K&L) by streamlining internal processes and making cross-departmental process agreements. You handle difficult and complex issues, translate changing technical requirements and developments into concrete proposals for quality documents, and consult with stakeholders.
What you do

- Organize basic data and specifically supplement information

- Set up online legends
- Develop GeoVisia into a practical tool for daily maintenance
- Establish and supervise a strategic inspection plan, including market solicitations
- Introduce road expertise early in integrated projects
- Advise on choices that ensure efficient and affordable long-term management
- Improve collaboration around cables and pipelines
- Streamline internal processes and make cross-departmental process agreements
- Monitor these process agreements in close consultation with the K&L coordinator
- Tackle complex issues
- Translate changing technical requirements and developments into concrete proposals for quality documents
- Coordinate with stakeholders and carefully weigh interests
What they ask
- Completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in Civil Engineering
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience and in-depth knowledge of the Roads domain
- Knowledge of and experience with a planning & control cycle
- Knowledge of and experience in administrative and governmental advising
- Demonstrable experience and skills with management software packages such as GeoVisia
- Demonstrable experience in assessing inspection data and converting it into measures
- Demonstrable experience in advising on integrated assignments and complex utility tasks
