You will contribute to a variety of technical challenges and projects within an international ship repair environment.
What you do
- You are part of a multidisciplinary team of approximately 20 colleagues, including work preparators, project managers, cost controllers, QC specialists, planners and document controllers. You coordinate closely with them on-site.
- You analyse work orders and determine which activities need to be carried out.
- You assess the technical feasibility and manufacturability of the required work.
- You prepare technical specifications for steel structures, components, equipment and systems.
- You develop technical plans and create conceptual designs and CAD drawings.
- You prepare lifting plans and risk assessments for heavy lifting and transport operations.
- You technically evaluate supplier quotations and monitor orders and deliveries.
- You inspect work on-site and find technical solutions to questions raised by clients, colleagues and subcontractors.
- You work closely with procurement, QC, project management, production and purchasing on a daily basis to monitor progress.
Profile
- You have an MBO level 4/HBO in Naval Architecture/MAROF, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar study.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- You have knowledge of AutoCAD.
