Policy Advisor Mental Healthcare and Public Mental Healthcare

Within the social domain, you manage the GGZ and OGGZ tasks in a specific region. You bring together policy, implementation, finance, and regional collaboration, creating coherence, progress, and a clear direction. You navigate between a public organization, care, safety, neighborhood teams, and social shelters. You bring parties together, monitor progress, and adjust when collaboration or implementation falters.

You ensure that regional programs and networks, such as Mental Health Networks and AZWA/IZA, and working methods and tasks, such as intrusive care, strong local teams, and Wmo tasks, align with local practice.

Key Activities.

• You draft college and council documents, memos, annotations, and decision notes, and prepare administrative and official meetings
• You translate signals and regional developments into priorities, working agreements, and next steps, and monitor their implementation
• You are responsible for budgets, subsidy proposals, framework letters, budgets, invoices, performance, and account management towards providers and partners
• You support colleagues with substantive questions and prioritization and address urgent and unforeseen issues

You are an independent policy advisor with at least five years of experience in the social domain and have current knowledge of GGZ and OGGZ. Knowledge of the Wmo and/or addiction care is a plus. You are energized by complex issues where different interests, perspectives, and responsibilities converge. You communicate clearly, maintain an overview, and are a strong discussion partner for administrators, management, partners, and colleagues.

You combine strategic insight with implementation power, carefully weigh interests, finances, and administrative frameworks, and provide independent direction. Where necessary, you offer counter-force and translate agreements into concrete next steps.

What they ask

• Minimum of five years of policy experience in the social domain
• Current knowledge of and experience with GGZ and OGGZ
• Knowledge of the Wmo and/or addiction care is a plus
• Experience with administrative advising, regional collaboration, and complex decision-making
• Administrative sensitivity, analytical ability, and the firmness to provide independent direction
• The ability to bring together policy, implementation, finance

Within the Social Domain, the well-being and safety of residents are central. As a policy advisor, you contribute to policy and collaboration that have a direct impact. You are responsible for the strategic and substantive development of the local and regional approach. A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is required.
