An organization is professionalizing its Supplier Operations department and is looking for enthusiastic Tactical Buyers. The department's mission is to secure material availability at the right cost, right quality, and right time for customers. This involves navigating volume ramp-up, managing the growing installed base and supply chain complexity, and driving both structural changes and continuous improvements in core processes.
What you do
You will ensure effective and efficient execution of operational procurement activities.
- Arranging adequate material supply
- Resolving operational procurement issues
- Driving cost down / cost efficiency
- Ensuring master data control
- Independently managing the operational procurement process for multiple suppliers and a Sourcing Lead
- Preparing and overseeing supplier negotiations, including tactics, spend base analysis, scripting, dry-runs, and orchestrating the stakeholders involved, as well as all contract details
- Focusing on operational execution and timely availability of required materials within boundary conditions
- Managing day-to-day contact with suppliers and tracking all communication for full transparency
Responsibilities.

- Build, maintain, and extend sustainable relationships within Procurement, Logistics, Suppliers
- Support in solving issues and development needs
- Translate business and improvement needs to suppliers
- Provide reports on performance and planning
Profile
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, (International) Business, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
- 2-5 years of experience in a procurement, sourcing, or commercial (related) role, ideally in a technology-intensive industry
- Affinity with one or more of the following, where technical affinity is key:
- Experience with R2P
- Experience in price negotiation
- Experience with TCO
- Experience with Supplier Relationship Management
- Experience with new product introduction
- Experience with supplier contracting
- Experience with supply chain processes
- Commercial experience (e.g., sales)
