Garden Maintenance Employee

What you will do. As a garden maintenance employee, you will contribute to a safe, green, and pleasant environment for patients, residents, visitors, and colleagues. You will work independently but will be part of a technical service.

  • Daily maintenance of gardens and outdoor areas.
  • Mowing lawns and maintaining grass areas, flower beds, and plantings.
  • Pruning hedges, shrubs, and other plantings, and ensuring new plantings where necessary.
  • Maintaining paths, roads, and access points, keeping them tidy and safe.
  • Installing and repairing fences and performing various practical maintenance tasks.
  • Cleaning gutters and assisting with keeping entrances and paths free of snow and ice during winter.
  • Identifying maintenance needs or problems and discussing them with colleagues.
  • Efficiently planning activities, taking into account the season, weather conditions, and the daily operations of the care facilities.

You have an eye for quality finishing and always work with attention to safety and respect for the environment.

Profile

  • Training in garden maintenance or a relevant diploma in this field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Driving license B.
  • Enjoys working outdoors and is physically capable of performing various maintenance tasks.
  • Can work independently, takes responsibility, and organizes work efficiently.
  • Works accurately and has an eye for quality and a neat finish.
  • A team player who communicates smoothly with colleagues.
  • Good command of the Dutch language.
  • Flexible and able to handle tasks dependent on planning, season, or weather conditions.
  • Respectful, friendly, and open attitude towards people from different backgrounds and with support needs in a care environment.
