This multidisciplinary group practice offers a wide range of therapeutic services for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. The practice is spread across various locations, and the disciplines collaborate closely for integrated guidance. A driven AUTI coach is sought to strengthen the team.
What you will do. As an AUTI coach, you will provide tailored support to individuals with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), adapted to their needs and context. You will work with children, adolescents, and adults, adjusting your approach to their specific developmental phase and life world. Your tasks include:
- Individual guidance for children, adolescents, and adults with ASD, always starting from their own strengths and support needs
- Support with social skills, communication, and building relationships with peers, family
- Help with emotion regulation, sensory processing, and coping with anxiety or overstimulation
- Providing structure, planning, and predictability in daily life, both at home, at school, and at work
- Psychoeducation about ASD, aimed at the individual themselves and their environment (parents, partners, teachers, employers)
- Support in practical life domains such as independence, study or work organization, and leisure activities
- Close collaboration with other disciplines within the practice, ensuring each trajectory is optimally coordinated
Profile
- Education or experience relevant to supporting individuals with ASD (e.g., orthopedagogics, psychology, social work, or a similar field)
- Specific training as an AUTI coach is a strong asset
- Knowledge of and affinity with autism spectrum disorders across different age categories
- Ability to easily adapt your guidance to the client's needs, from young child to adult
- Patient, empathetic, and able to offer structure and support without losing sight of the individual's uniqueness
- Strong communicator, both with clients and with parents, partners, or other stakeholders
- Enjoys collaborating within a multidisciplinary team and contributing to the client's trajectory
- Flexible, independent, and takes responsibility for your own guidance
- Good command of Dutch and English, and an average command of French
