Psychomotor therapist

South HollandHybrid24 hours/week<3months

A specialized care institution for youth and family is looking for a psychomotor therapist for two departments where highly specialized treatment is offered to children, adolescents, young adults, and their parents. You will work with clients with, among other things, ADHD, autism, depression, tics, anxiety, trauma, and personality disorders. The treatment takes place in close multidisciplinary collaboration, with the aim of recovery and (re)finding as normal a life as possible – together and nearby.

What you will do. You will work as a psychomotor therapist at two locations, which makes this position varied and dynamic. At one location, you will work with young people aged 13 to 21 who have encountered difficulties in one or more areas of life, often in combination with mood problems, anxiety disorders, ASD, and/or ADHD.

  • You will be part of the treatment team on the group, with short lines of communication with other therapists.
  • You will make an active contribution to the treatment program by providing group-oriented modules.
  • You will also have individual treatment contacts with young people outside the group.
  • Together with the multidisciplinary team, you will work purposefully to strengthen skills and help the young person get back on track, with intensive involvement of the family and the environment.

At the other location, you will offer highly specialized psychomotor treatment to children, adolescents, young adults, and their parents. You will work with various psychiatric problems and contribute your expertise to diagnosis and treatment within a multidisciplinary framework, with a focus on recovery and (re)finding as normal a life as possible.

  • You will provide psychomotor therapy, both individually and in groups.
  • You will contribute to diagnostics through discipline-specific observations.
  • You will create a safe and enriching environment where clients can grow.
  • You will integrate PMT within the total treatment trajectory in close collaboration with fellow therapists.

Profile

  • You have a completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in Psychomotor Therapy.
  • You have work experience and affinity with children, adolescents, and young adults.
  • You have several years of work experience within youth mental healthcare (GGZ).
  • You are a member of the NVPMT.
  • A positive Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is required for this position.
  • Reference checks and diploma verification are part of the application procedure.

Practical

  • A one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent contract or directly a permanent contract.
  • Good employment conditions according to the GGZ collective labor agreement, including attractive extras.
