What you do
As a flex pool support worker, you will work at various locations. All clients are visually impaired or blind and have a mild, moderate, or severe intellectual disability. You can work with different target groups such as: mild intellectual disability (LVB), severe intellectual disability (EMB), elderly, or (intensive) support. There are morning, day, late, weekend, and night shifts. The variety in target groups offers you diverse and challenging work.
You determine (together with the planning office) which shifts you work and how many hours you want to work.
- Work with a unique target group; blind and visually impaired clients with additional physical, psychological, or auditory disabilities
- Ensure a pleasant living atmosphere
- Provide daily care, support/take over ADL (Activities of Daily Living), such as helping with washing, dressing
- Observe clients, identify bottlenecks, and report on them
- Work in different living groups with different clients and target groups

- You have a good sense of the atmosphere the group needs
- You can empathize with different developmental levels and adapt your guidance approach per situation
- A car and driving license are necessary
