An organization is looking for a technical manager to ensure that buildings remain safe, reliable, and well-maintained. You will oversee maintenance, installations, contracts, and suppliers, bring people together, and ensure that matters are handled. You will direct the right parties to resolve issues, rather than performing physical work yourself.
What you will do.
- Act as the linchpin between users, suppliers, the technical service, and the real estate organization.
- Ensure well-organized and continuously improving maintenance, installations, and technical services.
- Manage suppliers and monitor performance and contractual agreements.
- Assess technical issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain an overview of the technical portfolio and bring together maintenance tasks, user wishes, and daily practice into working solutions.
- Discuss performance and maintenance with suppliers.
- Contribute to thinking about technical solutions for buildings.
- Resolve bottlenecks that require coordination between multiple parties.
Profile
- HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level.
- Experience in technical management, facility management, maintenance, or technical services.
- Experience with supplier management.
- Affinity with building-related installations.
- Sufficient technical knowledge to assess maintenance and installation issues.
- Demonstrate ownership, act proactively, and bring people together.
- Easily switch between different interlocutors (suppliers, users, technical service).
- Understand different interests and know how to connect people.
- Maintain an overview, work structured, and quickly identify opportunities or risks.
- Dare to ask critical questions, think in solutions, and translate technical issues into clear actions.
