Environmental Quality Advisor (noise)
Within a team of specialists, specialized expertise is provided on various environmental themes, including noise. This assignment involves temporary support and addressing capacity issues within this field. You will independently provide high-quality substantive advice and assessment in the field of noise, supporting permit issuance, supervision, enforcement, and spatial planning, partly within the framework of the Environmental Act (Omgevingswet).
The assignment also includes conducting noise measurements and handling noise complaints.
What you will do.
- Draft substantive advice on noise aspects for environmental permits and spatial plans
- Assess noise reports and studies carried out by third parties
- Contribute to noise paragraphs in spatial justifications and environmental plans
- Advise municipalities on noise standards and noise issues, including events
- Perform and report noise measurements if necessary
- Identify relevant developments within the field of noise and the Environmental Act and translate them into practice
- Independently or jointly perform noise measurements in the context of supervision and/or handle noise complaints
Profile
- You independently provide high-quality substantive advice and assessment in the field of noise, supporting permit issuance, supervision, enforcement, and spatial planning
- Work activities are carried out on a case-by-case basis
- You work closely with specialists, permit issuers, enforcers
- You are responsible for the timely and high-quality delivery of agreed results

What they ask

- Completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level in environmental science, acoustics, or technical physics
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable work experience as a noise advisor within an environmental service, municipality, consultancy, or similar government environment
- Demonstrable work experience with the Environmental Act (Omgevingswet) and relevant laws and regulations in the field of noise
- Demonstrable work experience with assessing acoustic studies, advising on permit issuance, and advising within spatial procedures
- Demonstrable work experience with advising municipalities and/or administrative organizations on noise issues
Preferences.
- Demonstrable work experience as an advisor within the spatial domain of a government organization
- Demonstrable work experience with complex noise dossiers in urban or administrative environments
- Demonstrable work experience in the field of vibrations
- Demonstrable work experience with performing and interpreting noise measurements
- Demonstrable knowledge of developments within the Environmental Act and the field of noise and their practical applicability
- Demonstrable work experience with multidisciplinary collaboration within permit issuance, supervision
- Demonstrable work experience with case-oriented work, including independently handling and processing dossiers within case systems
