The role involves the management, improvement, and expansion of fiber optic networks that play a crucial role in controlling energy infrastructure. You will combine technical knowledge with advisory skills and collaborate with engineers, architects, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
What you will do. As a Technical Consultant, you will work on the maintenance, improvement, and expansion of telecom and fiber optic networks used for controlling energy infrastructure. You will be an important discussion partner for architects, engineers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring that technical issues are translated into practical solutions.
Additionally, you will contribute to innovation and improvement projects within existing telecom environments and support the organization in important technical choices.
Telecom and fiber optic infrastructure.
- Coordinate the replacement of outdated fiber optic cables and equipment
- Support the management and expansion of telecom networks
- Contribute to technology upgrades and network improvements
- Support asset management issues
Technical advice.
- Act as a substantive discussion partner for engineers, architects
- Analyze complex technical issues
- Translate technical challenges into concrete solutions
- Advise on improvements within telecom and fiber optic infrastructures
Improvement and development.
- Improve security issues within the network
- Expand and optimize IT support systems
- Improve internal processes
- Support the development of new services
Supplier and contract management.
- Participate in and support procurement processes
- Support the contracting of suppliers
- Draft client contracts
- Collaborate with internal and external chain partners
Profile
- HBO or WO (higher professional education or university) working and thinking level
- Experience within a technical telecom or infrastructure environment
- Broad knowledge of fiber optic networks and telecom infrastructure
- Knowledge of transmission techniques and protocols such as SDH, PDH, OTN, WDM, CWDM, DWDM, and Carrier Ethernet
- Experience with analyzing complex technical issues
- Experience within a larger complex organization
- Good command of the Dutch language
Preferences.
- Knowledge of ITIL
- Experience with Agile working
- Experience within telecom, energy, or infrastructural environments
