As a Process Engineer, you design and optimize installations for chemistry, food, pharma, and energy. You translate process design into concrete specifications, ensure process safety according to ATEX and PED, among others, and guide implementation in the factory. You work on projects with a clear focus on process optimization, safety, and compliance with laws and regulations, with a direct impact on production continuity and energy consumption.
You will join an international consulting and engineering firm with a strong focus on industrial projects in the chemical, food, pharma, and energy sectors. From multiple locations, clients are supported with multidisciplinary engineering, consultancy, and project management services. The firm works on projects where process optimization, sustainability, and safety are central, often within complex brownfield and greenfield environments.
In multidisciplinary teams, you collaborate with mechanical, E&I, and safety engineers, among others, on integrated solutions, from concept study to execution.
What you do
- Design process installations within industrial projects
- Optimize existing process installations in terms of capacity, efficiency
- Implement process solutions from design through realization
- Prepare technical specifications for equipment and process components
- Guide the engineering process in all project phases
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and clients to achieve project objectives
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, including relevant laws and regulations
- Coordinate process design with other disciplines and stakeholders throughout the project
What they ask
- Completed HBO or university education in Chemical Technology or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience as a Process Engineer in the industry
- Experience with process design and process optimization within industrial environments
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as ATEX and PED
- Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
- Ability to work independently and proactively within project teams
- Demonstrable experience with project-based work in an industrial context
