A government organization is working on a major transformation of the social domain and youth care. Within a program, the focus is on prevention, close-to-home support for residents, a strong social base, and a shift from indicated care to appropriate, indication-free support. At the same time, regional cooperation in youth care requires strong strategic positioning, administrative advice, and a clear connection between regional agreements and local transformation.
For these challenges, an experienced regional strategic policy advisor for youth is temporarily sought.
What you will do.
- Ensure the strengthening and safeguarding of the strategic policy function in the field of Youth within the policy team of the social domain.
- Advise management, directorate, and board on regional developments, challenges, risks, and decision-making within youth care.
- Represent the organization in relevant regional official consultations.
- Contribute to the further development and implementation of robust local teams, in line with the transformation program.
- Ensure the structural embedding of a divorce desk aimed at preventively/proactively reducing problematic divorces.
- Work on and ensure a decision-ready written advice on how the strategic policy role within Youth should be shaped and embedded within the department.

- Ability to work well in a political-administrative environment and quickly switch between different parties.
- Work result-oriented, set clear priorities, and maintain calm.
- Be a strong, strategic advisor with knowledge and experience in the youth field at a government organization.
- Broad experience with regional cooperation.
- Preferably, knowledge of regional cooperation in a specific region.
What they ask
- Minimum of a completed HBO bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Domain, Social Sciences, Policy & Management, or a comparable field.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 8 years as a strategic policy advisor for Youth at a municipal government.
- Demonstrable experience with advising management, directorate, and/or board within a municipal organization.
Wishes.
- Demonstrable multi-year experience with regional cooperation within youth care (state where this experience was gained).
- Strategic experience in Youth, including the scope of assignments, strategic advisory level, and achieved results.
- Preferably, demonstrable knowledge or experience within a specific region.
