As a case manager, you engage with families, youth, adults, and seniors experiencing domestic violence.
- You investigate what is needed to break the cycle of violence and create lasting safety for all family members.
What you will do.
- You serve as a consistent point of contact for the family, activating and connecting to gain problem recognition and build trust.
- You conduct home visits, discuss signs of unsafety, and make concrete safety agreements.
- You provide tailored support adapted to the family, primarily on a voluntary basis, escalating to legal measures if necessary.
- You apply a systemic, multidisciplinary, and integrated approach to phased care, focusing on immediate safety, risk-driven safety, and recovery.
- You direct and coordinate all support efforts within the household and escalate when needed.
- You collaborate closely with the family's social network, professional network, and local field.
- You develop a safety plan for acute safety and an action plan with a clear analysis of risk factors, underlying patterns, and concrete goals for sustainable safety.
Profile
- You are a professional with extensive experience in households with complex issues and domestic violence, with a sharp focus on safety.
- You have a strong motivation to achieve lasting safety in families where it is not self-evident.
- You are steadfast and able to clearly communicate unacceptable behavior and necessary structural changes.
- You implement appropriate interventions to improve safety and break family patterns.
- You are skilled in handling resistance and possess motivational interviewing techniques.
- You are decisive and persistent, daring to make impactful decisions.
- You have strong analytical ability, think outside the box, and remain calm in hectic situations.
- Reflection, collaboration, and teamwork are natural to you.
What they ask
- A completed HBO degree (e.g., social/pedagogical education).
- Knowledge of and experience with Signs of Safety.
- Registered in the SKJ quality register.
