Project Manager D365 F&O

GelderlandHybrid35 hours/week<3months

Bring direction and momentum to an ERP transformation that prepares an organization for its next stage of growth. An organization is bringing supply chain and finance processes across its market groups together on one future-proof ERP platform. By phasing out legacy systems, clearer processes, more reliable data, and a stronger foundation for scale and future AI-enabled capabilities are created. The direction and roadmap are in place.

What you do

As an ERP Project Manager, you bring structure, seniority, and momentum to a complex change program in which process, data, technology, and multiple stakeholders come together. You are a senior sparring partner for experienced professionals and leadership.

  • Help the team stay focused on the outcomes that matter.
  • Ensure that dependencies, risks, and unresolved choices receive the attention they need.
  • Lead decision-making and escalation towards the Steering Committee.
  • Translate the existing roadmap into a clear delivery rhythm, with practical priorities, milestones, and follow-up.
  • Identify when assumptions, sequencing, or planning need to be adjusted.
  • Ensure open choices and bottlenecks reach the right people, push through when needed, and lead these topics effectively towards the Steering Committee.
  • Make progress, dependencies, risks, bottlenecks, and trade-offs visible, and steer towards the agreed result.
  • Align Finance, Operations, key users, IT, a technology partner, integration partners, and external logistics and warehousing parties around shared progress.
  • Work with business owners to identify optimization opportunities and ensure that process choices and customization deliver customer value within the F&O standard.

Profile

  • Over 10 years of experience leading complex ERP implementations or transitions, preferably involving Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
  • Experience in a role where you also led senior stakeholders and decision-making.
  • Experience bringing an existing ERP roadmap or implementation program through a critical delivery phase, including identifying risks and proposing well-founded course changes when needed.
  • Structuring planning, dependencies, risks, issues, and decision-making across multiple workstreams, with clear escalation to governance when decisions fall outside your mandate.
  • Managing stakeholders in a complex environment involving business teams, IT, implementation partners, and external integration parties.
  • Enough technical and architectural understanding to recognize risks and unnecessary customization, challenge constructively, and work with ERP specialists and partners to protect customer value within the F&O standard.
  • You enjoy bringing order and momentum to complex programs and act as a senior sparring partner for business and IT.
  • You understand the connection between business processes, data, and technology, without needing to be the technical or functional specialist yourself.
  • You ask the right questions, challenge assumptions constructively, and know how to help people move from discussion to decision and execution.
  • You manage for results, while also managing the pace the team and organization can sustain.

Practical

  • The assignment is expected to run for at least 9 months and to continue as needed to complete this delivery phase successfully.
  • A commitment of four days per week throughout the assignment.
