Youth Protector

• Crucial steering role in collaborating with families, chain partners, and other important stakeholders.
• Monitoring whether the family situation remains stable or improves, and intervening if it deteriorates, to ensure children can grow up as safely as possible.
• Guiding and directing: having an eye for what families need, conducting firm conversations, and offering clear guidance.
• Dealing with complex issues and challenging cases.
• Balancing physical presence with families and updating files.
• Direct contact with people and ensuring all information is well-documented for follow-up.
• Collaborating extensively with colleagues and chain partners such as government agencies and educational institutions for an effective approach.

• Work in a dedicated team of experienced and new colleagues who support and learn from each other.
• Regular meetings for case discussions and knowledge sharing.
• Focus on team spirit, development, lunches, team outings, and training.
• Start with an onboarding mentor and a practical coach for substantive support.
• Grow into an independent caseload in approximately 9-12 months.

What they ask

• Completed Bachelor's degree (e.g., Social Work, MWD, Pedagogy).
• Registration in the SKJ register.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with families and/or youth.
• Experience in another field with complex issues is a plus.
• Energy, courage, and perseverance for challenging situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to conduct firm conversations, connect with people, and write clear petitions and other documents.
