As a social worker, you actively contribute to stopping domestic violence. You increase the safety, resilience, and self-reliance of clients. You will join a professional, diverse, and collegial team, with ample opportunities for further development.
What you do
- Conduct interviews with clients, colleagues, and chain partners
- Work systemically when the situation allows
- Coach clients and support them with practical matters
- Work on diverse cases: from acute shelter to long-term guidance (max. 2 years)
- Regularly consult with the team, behavioral expert, and process facilitator on casework and key decisions
- Monitor safety, set priorities, and act quickly when necessary
Profile
- Experienced professional who works independently, takes initiative, and has knowledge of (the basics of) domestic violence
- Experience with counseling interviews and guiding clients towards safety and self-reliance
- Open to feedback and development, and enjoys working collaboratively with the team
- Good planning and prioritization skills
- Work trauma-sensitively and ask critical questions when necessary
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to find a balance between boundaries and empathy
- Creative, activating approach
What they ask
- A completed relevant HBO degree (e.g., Social Work or SPH)
- SKJ registration or willingness to obtain it
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the safety domain
- Providing a VOG statement (certificate of good conduct) is part of the procedure
- HBO nurses with experience in the safety domain are also welcome to apply
Preferences.
- Knowledge of the social map of the region is a plus
- Proficiency in other languages is a plus
Practical
- You primarily work day shifts
- An on-call or weekend shift is required once every 6-8 weeks
