For a medical technology company, we are looking for a Clinical Support Specialist who supports orthopedic procedures in hospitals. You will be present in the operating room to support surgeons and care teams during orthopedic interventions, primarily focused on shoulder prostheses. Experience within other orthopedic disciplines is also very valuable. You will work in a varied environment where no two days are the same.
What you do
- Assist and support surgeons during orthopedic procedures
- Prepare and check instrumentation and implants
- Ensure compliance with applicable sterility and safety standards in the operating room
- Act as a technical and product-related point of contact for surgeons and OR staff
- Build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers
- Travel to various hospitals and healthcare institutions
- Contribute to a high quality level of patient care
What they ask
- Relevant experience within an operating room environment
- Familiarity with sterility procedures and the functioning of an OR
- Experience in orthopedics; experience with shoulder prostheses is a strong asset, but not a requirement
- Possess a bachelor's degree, for example in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or another relevant medical or paramedical field
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with surgeons and care teams
- Be flexible and able to travel easily
- Ability to work independently and a strong sense of responsibility
