As a "schoolspotter" at a public organization, you are daily present in the living environment of young people. You listen, support, and help them find their way in society, at school, and in life. At the same time, you follow a training course in adult education to obtain a recognized diploma. This way, you combine learning and working in a trajectory that strengthens not only you but also the young people.
What you do
- You are visibly present in the living environment of young people: on their way to school, in parks, on squares, or at bus stops. From this proximity, you build trust and learn what truly matters to young people.
- You are an accessible point of contact for secondary school students. You offer them a listening ear, support them with personal or school difficulties, and refer them to the appropriate authorities if necessary.
- You build and maintain a strong network with schools, youth work, neighborhood initiatives, and aid organizations.
- You investigate with young people the challenges they experience, such as motivational problems, conflicts, or home situations, and you search with them for sustainable solutions in which they play an active role.
- You contribute ideas for activities and projects that strengthen young people: from recreational moments to educational initiatives.
- You perform administrative tasks such as registering your contacts and drafting reports.
- You commit to following a training course that leads to an officially recognized diploma and also participate in additional training within your employment. You thus grow step by step in your role and strengthen your professional future.
