Operations Director

Strategically and tactically responsible for all operational activities, including production, engineering, purchasing, and supply chain.

Provide input for and co-steer the overall business strategy and resulting objectives.
Monitor the profitability of the organization in collaboration with management team colleagues.
Strive for Operational Excellence by making processes more effective and efficient and optimizing the supply chain from a commercial perspective.
A specific challenge is the smooth scaling up and down of activities during peak season.

What you will do.

Lead a team of approximately 135 employees.
Responsible for the production of various items, the management of a large production and storage capacity, and the storage and transport of a significant number of pallets per year.
Responsible for all technical matters, including building management.
Drive sustainable and profitable growth based on a clear vision of operations.
Approach operational issues integrally and avoid sub-optimization.
Demonstrate visible leadership by being present on the shop floor.
Report to the Managing Director and be part of the local management team.

Profile

Academic working and thinking level, combined with studies focused on engineering, business administration, operations, and/or supply chain.
Several years of experience in a leadership role within production, operations, or supply chain, preferably in a dynamic and international environment.
Independent, entrepreneurial, creative, and proactive.
Solution-oriented and practical.
Clear leadership and a commercial mindset.
Excellent command of Dutch and English. Knowledge of German is a plus.

A suitable interim rate, commensurate with the level and responsibility of this role.
