What you do
- Intervene in the analysis of business data sources, the creation of a structured inventory, and the harmonization of reference concepts.
- Identify and mobilize relevant stakeholders for each data source.
- Organize and facilitate analysis meetings with data managers, business experts, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
- Formalize results in reports, analysis reports, and recommendations.
- Analyze business data to create a reliable and usable inventory.
- Identify the data manager and owner.
- Document data managed by each source, as well as their business definition.
- Describe creation, collection, and update processes.
- Identify the legal basis governing their processing.
- Characterize data according to their criticality, sensitivity, personal, strategic, or reusable nature.
- Describe the update frequency, associated uses, and existing quality controls.
- Document current data exchange methods, available interfaces, exchange constraints, and application or organizational dependencies.
- Design and evolve the inventory model to support the progressive documentation of the data asset.
- Prepare future descriptive metadata sheets.
- Monitor data governance and future reuse of collected information.
- Populate and update the inventory as analyses are performed.
- Ensure the consistency, quality, and updating of recorded information.
- Identify, when necessary, the assigned manager of a reference source.
- Qualify data according to their sensitivity level, GDPR status, strategic nature, Open Data potential, dissemination restrictions, reuse conditions, and expected quality level.
- Identify and compare definitions from different data sources.
- Establish a common conceptual framework and a shared dictionary of main reference concepts.
- Facilitate business workshops to resolve semantic divergences and facilitate concept harmonization.
- Identify potentially redundant, similar, or close data in multiple sources.
- Evaluate differences in definition, calculation, or collection.
- Propose avenues for simplification, harmonization, and coherence.
- Contribute to clarifying responsibilities related to data management.
- Document existing roles and associated supporting elements.
- Prepare necessary elements for governance bodies to identify legitimate data owners.
- Ensure coordination with governance bodies and relevant contacts to escalate data sources deemed mature and relevant for dissemination.
Profile
- Confirmed experience as a Data Analyst.
- Proficiency in business data analysis and modeling, including the design of conceptual models, data dictionaries, and concept structuring.
- Solid experience in semantic analysis and harmonization of business concepts.
- Ability to facilitate business workshops with ease and facilitate exchanges between stakeholders with varied profiles.
- Good knowledge of data governance and clarification of responsibilities.
- Knowledge of data reuse principles, Only Once, Open Data, and reference data.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, synthesis, formalization, and assertiveness.
- Pragmatic, service-oriented approach.
- Strong writing skills to produce clear, synthetic, and complete documentation.
- Excellent command of French is essential.
