In this unique combined role, you will work as a (specialized) nurse in a nursing department and as an operating assistant in the Operating Center. You will have the opportunity to hold two positions in one of the most challenging academic medical centers.
What you will do.
- As an operating assistant, you will ensure that patients can safely undergo their surgery within a multidisciplinary team.
- You will assist with long or short procedures, primarily rare and complex treatments, often for emergency patients.
- In addition to your role as an operating assistant, you will work as a (specialized) nurse in a (specialist) nursing department, where your experience and ambitions will be considered.
- You will guide colleagues in training, contribute to scientific research, and the development of new medical techniques.
What they ask
- An mbo-V or hbo-V diploma with valid BIG registration, possibly supplemented with a CZO recognized nursing specialization diploma.
- An NVZ diploma as an Operating Assistant.
- Experience with the Perioperative Nursing training (formerly Nursing-Technical stream) is a plus.
- Flexibility and the ability to switch quickly.
- Accuracy, even in stressful or rapidly changing situations.
- Team spirit and enjoyment of multidisciplinary work.
Practical
- A one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent contract.
- Salary classification for Operating Assistant in salary scale 9M (€ 3,993 to € 5,845 gross for a full-time employment).
- Salary classification for Nurse in salary scale 7M-9M (depending on education, experience, and specialization).
- 8.3% year-end bonus.
- 194.4 vacation hours per year for full-time employment, with the possibility to save hours.
- 100% public transport reimbursement or €0.21 per km travel allowance (max. 40 km one way for car).
- Good bicycle scheme.
- Pension accrual with ABP, with the employer paying 70% of the premium.
- Free and unlimited access to training courses in the learning environment.
- Active staff association and young professionals association, both organizing fun (sporting) activities and events.
- A reference check and screening may be part of the procedure.
- A VOG (Certificate of Conduct) may be standardly required for certain job groups.
- Internal candidates will be given preference over external candidates, if equally suitable.
