You translate practice, simulation, and technology into future-proof vocational education.
You develop a clear vision and coherent policy for the use and further development of simulators for daily use by students, teachers, and the professional field. You bring stakeholders together, make choices that align with strategic goals and budgets, and collaborate with suppliers and international colleagues.
What you will do.
- Responsible for the vision, translation, and budgets for the maintenance and renewal of one of the largest simulator parks for maritime, technical, and logistics vocational education.
- Investigate possibilities to implement new technologies, such as AR and VR, in education, acting as the contact person between user and supplier.
- Execute project management related to the upgrade or installation of simulators and any other digital learning tools.
- Maintain regular contact with international colleagues and (inter)national suppliers to manage the development of various simulator-related products and contracts.
Profile
- HBO/WO (higher professional education/university) working and thinking level
- Knowledge and insight into technical systems
- Knowledge, affinity, and experience with educational and/or business processes
- Knowledge and experience with simulators is a plus
- Experience in developing vision and practically implementable policy
- Experience with budget monitoring and substantiating investment choices
- Experience with project management (planning, progress monitoring, risks, stakeholder management)
- Experience with collaborating and coordinating with teachers, technicians
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English
- Affinity with (digital) training, simulator, and AR/VR environments
