An experienced manager with an affinity for leadership and team management is sought for a temporary replacement. You will temporarily take responsibility for eight clinics within an animal care organization. You will visit the clinics bi-weekly and be the fixed point of contact for clinic managers and head veterinary assistants. Together, you will discuss daily operations, manage the quality of veterinary medicine and results, and support the teams with operational and organizational objectives.
What you will do.
- Be the fixed point of contact for clinic managers and head veterinary assistants of the eight clinics in your region
- Support teams in daily operations through bi-weekly visits, ensuring compliance with procedures, quality standards, and internal agreements
- Bear final responsibility for the operational management of eight clinics and monitor continuity, quality, and performance within the region
- Form the link between the clinics and the service center, collaborating with HR, Recruitment, and the management team to discuss opportunities, challenges
- Be responsible for the financial results of the clinics in your region, managing revenue, costs, budgets, and profitability, and identifying improvement opportunities
- Coach and guide clinic managers and head veterinary assistants in their development, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Contribute to setting up new clinics and supporting new teams
Profile
- Extensive management experience in a similar role, having managed multiple locations
- Experience in the veterinary sector as a veterinarian or veterinary assistant is preferred
- Minimum HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level
- In possession of a B driving license
- Inspire and empower clinic managers and teams, provide direction, and address issues when necessary
- Actively seek connection with various stakeholders by listening and collaborating
- Have an eye for both the quality of veterinary care and the business operations of the clinics
- See opportunities, think in possibilities, and translate commercial goals into concrete actions
- Fluent in Dutch and English
