Personal Support Worker
An experienced support worker is sought for a residential community in a city. This community originated from a parental initiative to create a future-proof living environment for their children with intellectual disabilities. It houses 26 adults aged 24 to 63 with diverse support needs, including mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, autism, or acquired brain injury (NAH).
Residents have varying needs, ranging from coaching for largely independent living to a greater need for proximity, structure, guidance, or care. Family and representatives are closely involved, which requires connection, clear communication, and maintaining professional boundaries.
