Public Space Manager

A public organization works daily to create an attractive, safe, and well-maintained living environment. In the coming years, the organization faces a major task in the field of replacement, renovation, climate adaptation, and sustainable management of public spaces.

What you will do. You will ensure that roads, bridges, tunnels, culverts, and other civil engineering structures remain in top condition. You will maintain an overview, identify risks and opportunities, and actively contribute to improvements for public spaces. This ensures that maintenance and investments are carried out at the right time.

You will also be an accessible point of contact for anyone with questions about your field of expertise and will handle reports from residents, businesses, and colleagues, ensuring quick and customer-oriented processing.

Your responsibilities.

  • Drawing up and keeping maintenance plans up to date.
  • Assessing the condition of roads, bridges, and other civil structures and determining what is needed to keep them in good condition.
  • Translating inspection results into concrete maintenance measures and replacement projects.
  • Advising colleagues and management on the maintenance, renovation, and replacement of municipal assets.
  • Making cost estimates, contributing to budget discussions, and developing investment proposals.
  • Ensuring that management data is complete and up-to-date and contributing to improvements in the management application.
  • Working closely with colleagues, project leaders, contractors, and engineering firms to ensure smooth project execution and maintenance.
  • Helping to further develop asset management and data-driven management.

  • Accessible and customer-oriented, enjoying sparring with colleagues and thinking in solutions.
