You play a key role in the lives of people with a visual and mild intellectual disability. You maintain an overview, connect colleagues, and help residents maintain as much control over their lives as possible. You contribute to a safe living environment where residents feel seen and can continue to develop.
What you will do.
- Drawing up, evaluating, and monitoring support plans.
- Coordinating daily guidance and care.
- Liaising with relatives, therapists, and other involved disciplines.
- Advocating for the interests of the residents.
- Coaching and supporting colleagues in your coordinating role.
- Monitoring the quality and continuity of the guidance.
You are the connecting link between residents, relatives, colleagues, and the treatment team. You coordinate the guidance around the residents and are the fixed point of contact. You work closely with other supervisors. The residents have a visual impairment combined with a mild intellectual disability, sometimes with a physical disability or psychological/psychiatric issues. Structure, predictability, and proximity form the basis of the guidance.
You create an environment where residents feel safe and continue to make progress in their development. You will join a committed and close-knit team where eight residents, aged 46 to 66, each have their own studio.
Profile
You exude calm and maintain an overview, even when many things are happening simultaneously. You easily switch between different situations and know how to positively engage colleagues. You look beyond the request for help and translate the needs of residents into appropriate guidance.
What they ask
- Minimum of an MBO level 4 (equivalent) diploma in care or welfare.
- Preferably experience in disability care.
- Experience with or affinity for a coaching guidance style, such as Triple-C, is a plus.
- Willingness to work irregular shifts and weekends.
