As an Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you are responsible for testing, checking, and commissioning electrical installations for large-scale offshore wind projects. You monitor the installation of various systems, perform functional tests, and ensure that the technical installations function safely and correctly before delivery. This is a technical and hands-on role where you are often present at the project site.
You work closely with the Commissioning Manager, project teams, QA/QC, suppliers, and system integrators.
What you will do.
- You support the Commissioning Manager in preparing commissioning plans, test strategies
- You monitor the installation and commissioning of transformers, electrical systems, control systems, and other substation equipment, among others
- You perform functional tests and check whether installations and systems function correctly
- You analyze technical problems and work with the project team on an appropriate solution
- You review FAT procedures and attend Factory Acceptance Tests
- You document test results, technical changes, and commissioning activities
- You coordinate activities with project teams, QA/QC, suppliers, and system integrators
- You monitor safety and quality and correctly apply procedures regarding, among others, LOTO and PTW
Profile
- You have a technical bachelor's degree, preferably in Electricity, Electromechanics, Energy Technology, or a similar field. Relevant experience can be an alternative to the diploma
- You have good technical knowledge of electrical installations and systems
- Experience as a Commissioning Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Service Engineer, or Test Engineer is a strong asset
- Knowledge of electrical installations within offshore wind, substations, or high voltage is a great added value
- You communicate fluently in English. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus
