You will manage the 2D and 3D design of steel structures for high-voltage substations and energy infrastructure. You translate multidisciplinary designs into feasible steel structures, ensure technical feasibility and detailed engineering, thereby directly contributing to a reliable energy supply. You work closely with mechanical, civil, and architectural engineers and serve as the technical point of contact within the steel construction of high-voltage substations.
You will work for a consulting and engineering firm within the (sustainable) energy infrastructure. This engineering firm designs and develops installations, steel structures, and civil engineering solutions for high-voltage substations and related energy projects. The projects focus on renewing and expanding the energy infrastructure, thus making a demonstrable contribution to the reliability of the energy supply.
You will work in multidisciplinary project teams with engineers, modelers, and other disciplines, where knowledge sharing and practical learning are explicitly facilitated.
What you do
- Support engineers in developing steel structures for high-voltage projects
- Model steel structures for high-voltage substations and energy infrastructure in 3D
- Prepare technical drawings and detailed designs in 2D and 3D
- Develop constructive solutions based on input from engineers
- Check models and drawings for technical feasibility and accuracy
- Process revisions and changes in the 3D model and drawing package
- Collaborate with engineers, modelers, and other disciplines within projects

- Completed MBO or HBO education in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or architecture
- Demonstrable interest in steel structures and high-voltage installations
- Experience with 3D drawing programs (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD or similar) is a plus
