Enforcement Officer (BOA)

As an enforcement officer, you are central to the daily management of the team on the street. You combine craftsmanship with leadership and know exactly what is needed to assess situations well and deploy the team effectively. You actively contribute to a safe and livable environment.

What you will do.

• Supervise compliance with laws and regulations (APV, Environment, Traffic rules) and take enforcement action in case of violations.
• Operationally manage colleagues (briefings, task distribution, and prioritization).
• Assess and distribute reports and determine deployment based on current events and risks.
• Handle complex cases and act as the first point of contact for colleagues and chain partners.
• Be an important link to the coordinator in sharing signals, case studies, and advice.
• Actively collaborate with partners such as the police, public prosecutor's office, and internal departments of a government organization.
• Coach and guide colleagues in their development and address their behavior and quality.
• Identify trends and bottlenecks and translate them into improvements in working methods.
• Provide support during incidents, including aftercare and evaluations.
• Be visible on the street and take enforcement action yourself when necessary.
• Work in varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.

What they ask for.

• Completed HTV education or comparable MBO education (minimum level 4).
• Valid BOA certificate (domain I, public space).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an enforcement officer (BOA), with youth issues or subversion.
• Experience with complex case studies and collaboration with chain partners.
• Preferably an RTGB 3 certificate and a life-saving skills diploma or the willingness to obtain them.
• Good physical condition.
• Good command of the Dutch language, both orally and in writing (for drafting official reports).
• Driving license B.
