Service Manager CISO Office

Provide support within an organization's security leadership environment in a high-impact, hands-on consulting role.
- Offer senior-level support across a range of transversal security, governance, resilience, and service management topics.

What you will do.
- Provide expert hands-on support across operational and strategic initiatives within the CISO Office.
- Help ensure continuity, strong governance, and effective delivery.
- Support the operational CISO Service Manager in ensuring operational excellence and delivery of key security and resilience initiatives.
- Own and report operational and strategic KPIs to senior and executive management, including dashboards, monthly management reports, executive summaries, and performance analyses.
- Translate complex operational data into concise executive insights, recommendations, and decision-making material.
- Prepare executive communications, management briefings, governance papers, decision documents, and formal escalations.
- Support governance and steering committees and facilitate discussions with senior stakeholders.
- Act as a change and communication lead where required, helping stakeholders understand and adopt organizational changes.
- Contribute to compliance and governance activities related to ISO/IEC 27001, NIS2, and other relevant standards.
- Provide transversal support across cybersecurity third-party risk management and business continuity/disaster recovery.
- Contribute to cybersecurity capability improvement, risk mitigation, tooling assessments, and RFP processes.
- Challenge stakeholders constructively, manage conflicting interests, drive decisions, and coordinate activities across a matrix organization without direct hierarchical authority.
- Manage multiple reporting cycles, action trackers, deadlines, and stakeholder requests while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality.
- Adapt quickly to changing organizational priorities and take ownership of new areas as business needs evolve.
Profile
- Proven track record in service management, governance, reporting, executive communication, or related areas within large and complex organizations.
- At least 5 years of experience owning and reporting operational or strategic KPIs to C-level executives, boards, steering committees, or senior leadership.
- At least 5 years of experience preparing executive communications, management briefings, decision papers, and formal escalations.
- At least 3 years of regular interaction with senior management, executive committees, or equivalent governance bodies.
- Proven experience delivering governance, reporting, communication, or service management initiatives within organizations of more than 1,000 employees.
- Strong knowledge of SLA/OLA management, ITIL v2/v3, project management frameworks, and ISO/IEC 27001/27007.
- Experience working successfully in multicultural and intercultural environments.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
- The ability to work autonomously under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, particularly in matrix environments.
- A minimum Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or an equivalent discipline.
- Fluency in English, French, and Dutch, both spoken and written, with a minimum C1 level in all three languages and native-level C2 proficiency in either French or Dutch.
- An additional postgraduate qualification in governance, risk management, change management, communication management, or project management is considered a strong asset.
- Experience in cybersecurity, third-party risk, business continuity, disaster recovery, or related CISO Office activities will also be highly valued.
Practical
- This is a hands-on consulting assignment requiring a high degree of autonomy and regular interaction with senior stakeholders.
- The selection process may include additional technical or competency assessments.
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate their experience through concrete examples, including:
- Two anonymized examples of executive reports or dashboards personally produced.
- One example of a presentation or slide deck explaining a complex topic to a non-technical audience.
- One example of a formal escalation or executive communication personally drafted.
- Two professional references from direct managers.
- A CV containing specific examples of KPI reporting ownership, executive communication, governance reporting, steering committee support, and/or escalation management.
- The ideal candidate combines communication, flexibility, leadership, analytical thinking, and organizational excellence with the ability to turn complex information into clear decisions and actionable outcomes.
