A national general practitioner organization is looking for a Mental Health Practice Assistant for a health center. You will work with a diverse and often vulnerable patient group, including residents of mental health institutions, intellectual disability care, nursing homes, addiction care, and homeless individuals. This makes the work meaningful and dynamic.
What you will do.
- Support the general practitioner in the care for patients with psychological and psychosocial complaints.
- Provide quick and appropriate help, without waiting lists, in a trusted environment.
- Clearly map out the situation with the patient and work towards a suitable plan.
- Work largely independently during your own consultation hours.
- Have room for your own ideas, approach, and professional development.

- Easily connects and makes people feel at ease.
- Communicates clearly and motivates patients, even in difficult situations.
- Guides and treats patients with psychological complaints and chronic problems.
- Looks beyond the complaint alone and continuously coordinates with the general practitioner.
- Works demand-driven: provides guidance or treatment yourself, or refers to appropriate follow-up care.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Completed training as a Social Psychiatric Nurse (SPV) or Social Work + additional general practice training.
- Knowledge of psychological and psychiatric issues and the social support network.
- Ability to work independently and know when coordination is needed.
- Is open to feedback and continuously develops yourself.
